RE: ICS, Domino 6 and routing ~George Zenjumikonyoden 3.Nov.03 09:20 PM a Web browser Domino Server 6.0Windows 2000
After upgrading Domino 6.0.1 to 6.0.2 on a windows 2000 server set up as an ICS server, the ICS service no longer worked. The ICS machine could see the internet and all internal machines could ping the ICS machine. The problem was that the internal machines could not see the internet. The order of events I took to correct this were as follows:
I removed the registry key :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\ReservedPorts which was set as Reg_Sz 1352-1352.
Rebooted the server
Stopped the IIS service
Checked the World Wide Web Publishing Service was stopped
Stopped the ICS service
Started the ICS service
Started Domino
At this point all internal machines could see the internet. The key here is probably stopping and restarting the ICS service.
